VLANJ@HOME PROGRAM

What is VLANJ@HOME?

This program focuses on addressing safety and independence in completing daily living activities. The Occupational Therapist can provide timely, specific individualized recommendations in strategies to adjust lighting, enhance contrast, improve household organization, and reduce the risk of falls and self-injury in the home.

How can Low Vision Rehabilitation help me?

Low Vision rehabilitation offers assistance and training to maximize remaining vision, improve activities of daily living, boost independence, and enhance the quality of life for individuals with vision loss.

Is it covered by medical insurance?

LV rehabilitation is approved by most major insurance plans, including Medicare. These services are provided with a referral from an eye care specialist.

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:

MORRIS, PASSAIC, Hudson, & BERGEN COUNTIES.  Also now in parts of Middlesex and Monmouth counties.
